Parys is a professional triathlete representing Great Britain. As an age group athlete Parys claimed World Championship Titles at both the Olympic and 70.3 distances, along with European, British and English National titles. This success prompted the step up to the professional ranks in 2014.

In her rookie season Parys finished on the podium in 5 of her 7 races, won the Laguna Phuket ‘Race of Legends” and was also the highest placed Elite British finisher (6th) at the European Middle distance champs in Majorca. The 2015 season has started very well with 3rd at the SA70.3 and Challenge Philippines races, followed by her first Ironman win at the Century Tuna 70.3 in Subic Bay.pion and whilst proud of her accomplishments

When did you first decide to focus on sport?

I started the sport of triathlon in 2007 as a complete novice and decided to turn professional in 2014 after winning the age-group world championships twice, and the European and the British and English national titles.

What is your greatest achievements to date?

I'm proud of 14 podium finishes in 17 races, including 5 professional wins. My most memorable win was at Ironman 70.3 Subic Bay.

What is your ultimate goal as a professional triathlete?

To win a full distance Ironman event.

How much training do you do every week?

Somewhere between 25-30 hours a week.

What is your favourite food, movie and drink?

My favourite meal is slow cooked Oxtail stew made by my mum. My favourite film is Despicable Me and my favourite drink is coffee!

If you could be a superhero for a day, which one and why?

The Flash! Then maybe I would be on time for things and I could beat Jan Frodeno's Ironman world record.
